Moeezland declares temporary National Emergency for it’s Special Administrative Region

Moeezland has declared a temporary National Emergency for its citizens and affiliates in its Special Administrative Region (SAR) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia due to rising military tensions and reported strikes in the region.

    People in the SAR must:

    • Follow all laws and emergency instructions issued by the Saudi authorities.
    • Prioritize Saudi Arabia’s safety and security framework.
    • Stay calm, monitor official Saudi updates, and avoid unnecessary travel or putting themselves in unnecessary risk.

“The declaration is precautionary and focused on protecting citizens…” says the Moeezland Government. They express hope for stability and peace.

Internet is “back online” in Leafland after Storm Goretti physically cuts internet cable.

Internet and digital infrastructure is back online after days according to the States of Leafland after Storm Goretti cuts internet line. The weekend that followed the storm was left completely without internet in Leafland City as other damages followed in the entire nation. Since coming back online, many services have already started managing their websites again – with a Leafland News website update within 5 minutes of coming back online. One of our allies, Sanetta Nuova, has also thanked the government for “bringing their website back online so fast.” Since this internet outage, the government introduced a new government service, the Leaflandic National IT Services (LNITS) will be dedicated to fixing problems like this faster and more efficiently. A local resident said: “The government needs to be quicker with situations like this and I am glad they are putting things in place to make sure they are quicker.”

The government have said they are “…working towards much quicker responses in future” and “…situations will be resolved in under a day by 2030.” Many disagree, however. Leafland City Resident John R said in a recent interview that “…the only way this will happen is if the government lay an internet line between the capitals… it just wont happen. I think they are out of their minds.” The government has since responded in an official statement saying “…it’s a goal, not a truth. It might not happen but we are very confident it will.”

Purple Weather Warnings issued by the Leaflandic Weather Forecasting Service as many prepare for 90mph gusts.

Major Rain and Wind warnings have been issued with a Purple Weather Warning by the LWFS as expected winds reach hurricane force with winds of 80mph and gusts up to 110mph between 18:00 and 06:30 LMT tomorrow night. All physical Leaflandic Services have been stopped and the government has said it will “… shutdown during this time,” as citizens are asked to not go outdoors and shelter. These stormy conditions come from Storm Goretti, which will affect Southern England, Northern France and the Channel Islands in the middle. Schools have not been closed as the worst is said to happen after school hours, though, many after-school activities have been cancelled including Cadet Services and Youth Clubs. The President released a statement saying “Stay safe tonight. Please listen to your local authorities as it could mean a night at the hospital if you don’t.”

A local resident spoke to us in an interview, saying “The storm won’t do much, a few trees over and that’s probably the worst damage.” However the LWFS still says the storm will bring major damage and will be a danger-to-life.
